Although our garden is lovely, we also work with councils to beautify local shopping parades with planters containing flowers, herbs and some fruit. We encourage residents to care for these planters and to suggest what they would like to see in them. 

We encourage children to learn about gardening in the Community Garden and that has led us to work with some of our schools where they are setting up school gardens and special areas for the wildlife. Children learn so much from seeing where food comes from and how vital nature is to that process.

Everyone is invited to join in and help look after the plants in the shopping parades. If you're passing and see a weed, feel free to pull it out, or help with a little watering in dry spells. Maybe you would like to join the team that looks after them regularly? If so, feel free to get in touch. We would love to hear from you and the more the community that gets involved the better the displays will look! 

Other outside activities include our annual plant and seed swap. Many people find out about us this way and will take away some of our beloved plants or saved seeds.
